Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a small engineering team in a remote or hybrid capacity, the full-time Engineering Manager will oversee day-to-day management, delivery planning, and contribute directly to the codebase while fostering team growth and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 2-4 engineers, focusing on their development, performance, and daily operations
• Own sprint delivery planning, prioritization, and communication of project scope and risks
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase, addressing critical tasks while enabling team members to take on growth opportunities

Required qualifications

• Experience leading or managing a small engineering team or serving as a technical lead ready for formal management
• Proficiency in reviewing and contributing to a modern TypeScript codebase
• Strong skills in people leadership, including coaching and performance management
• Solid delivery management experience, including work decomposition and risk management
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD automation, and observability tools
