Engineering Manager, Ads

Job Summary

Leading a team of software engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Manager, Ads will mentor staff, drive the delivery of Firefox Suggest Ads initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality software aligned with Mozilla's values and privacy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop a team of software engineers, enhancing their skills and impact
• Lead the delivery of backend services, partner integrations, and product-facing systems for Firefox Suggest Ads
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to navigate technical and product decisions influenced by user data and privacy considerations

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a management role
• Proven track record of leading teams to successfully deliver production software
• Familiarity with modern software development practices and workflows
• Experience in privacy-sensitive product domains such as search, ads, or recommendations
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, asynchronous environment
