Engineering Manager, AI

Job Summary

Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Manager, AI will drive the development of innovative AI-powered tools for crime fighters, overseeing product initiatives from conception to scalable production systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a pod of engineers across frontend, backend, and full-stack disciplines, ensuring high standards for craftsmanship and ownership
• Own execution of key AI-powered product initiatives, from shaping problem statements to launch and iteration
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams on roadmap planning and prioritization, focusing on AI enhancements for user workflows

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2-5+ years in people management of multidisciplinary product teams
• Strong background in product engineering, particularly with workflow-heavy or data-rich applications
• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered features into production systems
• Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and turn early ideas into shipped products
• Technical depth to review code and guide architecture across frontend, backend, and AI-integrated systems
