Engineering Manager, AI Performance

Job Summary

Leading a team in a full-time salaried role, the Engineering Manager, AI Performance will drive the technical roadmap for AIPerf's core infrastructure, ensuring accuracy in benchmark results and advising on upstream engine integrations, while hiring and mentoring senior engineers in a high-velocity open-source environment.

Key responsibilities

• Driving the technical roadmap for AIPerf's core infrastructure, including load generation and microservices
• Taking ownership of the accuracy and statistical soundness of benchmark results for industry-wide production infrastructure decisions
• Hiring, mentoring, and growing a team of senior engineers in an open-source environment with active external contributors

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in performance-critical infrastructure, ML tooling, or distributed systems
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience as a tech lead or engineering manager
• Deep understanding of LLM inference mechanics and measurement correctness
• Proven track record of collaboration across multi-functional groups in high-visibility environments
