Engineering Manager - AI Platform
Job Summary
Leading a small team of engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager - AI Platform will oversee the development of NeoGov's AI services and infrastructure, managing the delivery of GenAI and intelligent automation solutions in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of AI/ML and platform engineers, focusing on hiring and coaching
- Own the roadmap for AI strategy, prioritizing and delivering on key initiatives
- Build and modernize AI platform services, ensuring compliance and governance standards are met
Required qualifications
- 6-8 years of engineering experience, including 1-2 years in a managerial or tech lead role
- Experience shipping shared/platform services for other engineers to utilize
- Hands-on knowledge of GenAI/LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and semantic search
- Strong proficiency in .NET and Python, with a solid foundation in distributed systems and microservices
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CDK, and cloud-native SaaS practices
