Engineering Manager, Apps & APIs

Job Summary

Leading a remote team of software engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager, Apps & APIs will manage a high-performing team responsible for the customer-facing aspects of a marketing mix modeling platform, focusing on architecture decisions, team culture, and execution roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and lead a team of 4-7 engineers, understanding their work and goals while establishing clear expectations and feedback
• Drive improvements in team processes and cross-functional handoffs, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap
• Own the execution roadmap, scoping work and unblocking the team to enhance delivery and product quality

Required qualifications

• Experience managing globally-distributed software engineering teams with a focus on mentoring and coaching
• Strong technical background in web and API development, particularly with Ruby on Rails and Python
• Proven ability to translate product goals into engineering deliverables in a fast-paced SaaS environment
• Experience in designing and shipping production APIs with a focus on developer experience and reliability
• Comfort with emerging technologies and the ability to make architectural decisions in a rapidly evolving landscape
