Engineering Manager, Data Infrastructure

Job Summary

Leading engineering initiatives, the full-time remote Engineering Manager, Data Infrastructure will oversee the development of a shared entity platform and real-time trip intelligence, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data and support Airbnb's next generation of AI products.

Key responsibilities

• Drive entity onboarding with producer teams, resolving data quality issues and schema ambiguities
• Lead technical design for trip entity data models and real-time streaming architecture
• Manage and develop a team of engineers, ensuring their career growth and alignment with project goals

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of industry experience, including 3-5+ years in engineering management
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or data infrastructure
• Hands-on fluency with distributed data systems and event-driven architectures
• Proven ability to navigate cross-functional roles and manage greenfield projects
