Engineering Manager - Distributed Systems

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager for the Runtime Team, responsible for leading the engineering organization focused on core execution engines for a data integration platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems and drive technical decisions for stream processing and real-time data pipeline optimization
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering professional growth and conducting performance reviews
• Design engineering processes for high-velocity development and implement DevOps practices for distributed systems

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience in distributed systems or data infrastructure
• 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience in distributed systems and stream processing
• Expert-level understanding of distributed systems concepts and extensive experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration
• Proven experience building systems that process terabytes of data daily with low latency requirements
• Experience with database technologies, data warehouses, and real-time analytics systems
