Engineering Manager - Firmware

Job Summary

Leading a team focused on firmware and Board Support Package (BSP) development, the remote Engineering Manager - Firmware will manage integration and sustainment of low-level platform software, ensuring reliable hardware-software integration for embedded systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development, integration, and sustainment of BSP and platform software capabilities across multiple hardware platforms
• Drive the delivery of foundational software, ensuring high-performing embedded systems and hardware-software integration
• Manage engineering talent and provide technical guidance to align BSP strategy with platform roadmaps and support consistent delivery

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Five or more years of R&D experience that includes software as part of the solution
• Solid understanding of system-level architecture for embedded or edge computing platforms
• Experience with Linux, BSP development, and system integration
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex, cross-functional software solutions
