Engineering Manager for Core UI

Job Summary

Leading a dedicated team of Design Engineers and Core Frontend Engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager for Core UI will own the core frontend platform, drive UI-focused initiatives, and foster collaboration with UX Design in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Core UI team, managing hiring, onboarding, performance, and career growth
• Own and maintain SimSpace's core frontend repositories, design system, and overall frontend architecture
• Establish and enforce standards for code health, accessibility, and performance across shared UI systems

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in frontend, UX, or design-adjacent engineering, with 2+ years in a management role
• Strong technical expertise in TypeScript and React modern component patterns
• Experience managing frontend or UX engineering teams, including distributed teams
• Proven ability to contribute to design systems or shared UI libraries
• Solid understanding of accessibility (a11y) standards and operationalization
