Engineering Manager, Frontend
Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend will oversee the development of Zocdoc's accessible React component library and design system, driving frontend and mobile initiatives while collaborating with UX, Product, and Engineering leaders in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for feature development across product teams
- Drive accessibility standards across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience building or significantly contributing to a design system or shared component library
- Proven track record of delivering polished, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
