Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, ensuring a seamless experience across web and mobile platforms in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Drive the adoption of accessibility standards across Zocdoc's web and mobile products
• Collaborate with UX, Product, and Engineering to enhance the scalable, mobile-responsive component library

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams and fostering their growth
• Demonstrated experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Proven track record of developing accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
