Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and execution of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, enhancing frontend and mobile development in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and growing a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Owning the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it supports feature development across all product teams
• Driving accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library for multiple product teams
• Proven track record of developing polished, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
