Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the engineering efforts for Zocdoc's accessible React component library and design system, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it is the preferred foundation for product development
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library across multiple product teams
• Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
