Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards across web and mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy for the design system and component library, ensuring it is adopted across product teams
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile surfaces, establishing consistent development standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or significantly contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Proven track record of delivering polished, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
