Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and execution of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, enhancing frontend and mobile development in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent standards and processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams and driving the adoption of shared UI infrastructure
• Proven experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows to enhance productivity
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
