Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, ensuring a seamless experience across web and mobile platforms while driving accessibility and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and growing a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Owning the strategy for the design system and ensuring its adoption across all product teams
• Driving accessibility initiatives and establishing measurable standards for product development

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Proven leadership in delivering accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
