Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team of frontend engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will own the strategy and roadmap for an accessible React component library and design system, driving adoption and enhancing the patient experience in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team focused on design systems and frontend platform tooling
• Own the strategy for Zocdoc's design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing measurable standards for product development

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
