Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the creation and implementation of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development across teams
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Proven experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong ability to integrate generative AI tools into workflows to enhance productivity
