Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and execution of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met across all platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the roadmap for the design system and component library, ensuring widespread adoption across product teams
• Establish and implement accessibility processes for web and mobile product development

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Proven track record of delivering accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
