Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will manage the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving accessibility and enhancing frontend development in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy for Zocdoc's design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for feature development across product teams
• Drive accessibility standards across web and mobile platforms, establishing measurable processes for product development

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Proven experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• History of delivering polished, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
