Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for an accessible React component library and design system, driving frontend and mobile development across the organization in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy for Zocdoc's design system, ensuring it is the preferred foundation for product development
- Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile surfaces, establishing consistent planning and QA processes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
- Proven leadership in shipping polished, accessible consumer products across web and mobile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
