Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the design and implementation of Zocdoc's accessible React component library and design system, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met across web and mobile platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring its adoption across product teams
- Drive accessibility initiatives, establishing processes for consistent and measurable product development
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Proven experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
- History of developing polished, well-tested, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
