Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team of frontend engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will own the strategy for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving accessibility and enhancing frontend and mobile development in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development
- Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent development standards
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Proven track record of contributing to a design system or shared component library
- Experience building accessible consumer products for web and mobile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
