Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy for the design system and component library, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance accessibility and streamline frontend development processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows
