Engineering Manager, Frontend Development
Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team of frontend engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will own the strategy for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving adoption and enhancing frontend and mobile development in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team focused on design systems, accessible component libraries, and frontend platform tooling
- Own the roadmap for the design system and React component library, ensuring it is the preferred foundation for product development
- Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong background in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
- Proven track record of delivering accessible consumer products on web and mobile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
