Engineering Manager, Frontend Development

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for feature development across product teams
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library across multiple product teams
• Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
