Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving adoption and enhancing the frontend experience for millions of patients and providers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy for Zocdoc's design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for feature development across product teams
- Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing standards and processes for product development
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience building or significantly contributing to a design system or shared component library
- Proven track record of delivering polished, well-tested, accessible consumer products
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
