Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the development of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the preferred foundation for all product teams
- Establish and drive accessibility standards across web and mobile platforms, integrating QA processes into product development
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with strong knowledge of frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library used across multiple teams
- Demonstrated ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
