Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving adoption and ensuring quality across web and mobile platforms in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy for the design system and ensure it is the preferred foundation for feature development across product teams
- Establish processes for accessible product development, making it a measurable standard across Zocdoc's web and mobile surfaces
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Proven experience building or significantly contributing to a design system or shared component library
- History of developing polished, well-tested, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
