Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the design and implementation of an accessible React component library and design system, enhancing frontend and mobile development across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for feature development across product teams
- Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing measurable standards for product development
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library used across multiple product teams
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows to enhance productivity
