Engineering Manager, Frontend Development
Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will manage the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving adoption and enhancing frontend and mobile development in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the engineering team focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent development standards
- Collaborate with UX, Product, and Engineering to enhance the scalability and responsiveness of the component library
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Proven experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
- Demonstrated ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
