Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the creation and management of an accessible React component library and design system, driving frontend and mobile development while collaborating closely with UX and Product teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc's design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for feature development across product teams
- Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing measurable standards for product development
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library across multiple product teams
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows to enhance productivity
