Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Development will oversee the design and implementation of Zocdoc's accessible React component library and design system, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring a focus on accessibility in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team of frontend engineers to develop design systems and accessible component libraries
- Owning the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring its adoption across product teams
- Driving accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library across multiple product teams
- Proven ability to integrate generative AI tools into engineering workflows
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
