Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform will oversee the development of Zocdoc's accessible React component library and design system, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of patients and providers in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and growing a team focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Owning the strategy and roadmap for the design system and component library to enhance feature development across product teams
• Driving accessibility initiatives and establishing processes to ensure consistent, measurable standards in product development

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Proven track record of developing accessible consumer products on web and mobile platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
