Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform will oversee the development of Zocdoc's accessible React component library and design system, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and growing a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Owning the strategy and roadmap for the design system and component library, ensuring adoption across product teams
• Driving accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing measurable standards and processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Proven experience building or significantly contributing to a design system or shared component library
• History of delivering polished, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
