Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform will oversee the development of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development across teams
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent development standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or contributing significantly to a design system or shared component library
• Proven track record of delivering polished, accessible consumer products on web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
