Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform will oversee the development of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility standards are met, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development
• Drive accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing measurable standards for product development

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development
• 2+ years of experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Proven experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Demonstrated history of developing polished, accessible consumer products for web and mobile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
