Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform will manage the development of Zocdoc's accessible React component library and design system, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of patients and providers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the preferred foundation for product teams
- Drive accessibility standards across web and mobile platforms, establishing consistent planning and QA processes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Proven experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library used across multiple product teams
- Strong communication skills to align stakeholders and manage competing priorities
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
