Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform will oversee the development of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving frontend and mobile development while ensuring accessibility as a core principle in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for product development across teams
- Establish and implement processes to integrate accessibility into product development consistently
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
- 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
- Experience in building or contributing to a design system or shared component library
- Proven track record of delivering accessible consumer products on web and mobile platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
