Engineering Manager - GCP Data Migration
Job Summary
Leading a large-scale AWS-to-GCP data platform migration, the full-time Engineering Manager - GCP Data Migration will manage the design and delivery of enterprise data solutions, AI/ML capabilities, and MLOps on Google Cloud Platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end migration of enterprise data platforms from AWS to GCP, defining architecture and migration strategies
- Architect and implement scalable enterprise data platforms on GCP, including Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures
- Manage and mentor a team of Data Engineers and ML Engineers, establishing engineering standards and tracking project progress
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related technology leadership roles
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Data Engineering and a minimum of 5 years with GCP Data Engineering
- Proven experience delivering AWS-to-GCP migration projects and designing enterprise Data Lake platforms on GCP
- Expert-level SQL and strong skills in Python and PySpark
- Experience managing and mentoring data engineering teams with strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
