Engineering Manager, ML

Job Summary

Leading a cross-functional team of ML engineers and backend/frontend developers, the full-time Engineering Manager, ML will oversee the end-to-end product data pipeline and drive the ML roadmap for catalogue intelligence in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end product data pipeline, ensuring freshness, coverage, and quality through ML enrichment and moderation
• Lead the ML roadmap for catalogue intelligence, focusing on category coverage, translation quality, and item embeddings
• Manage cross-team projects, contributing to quarterly planning and defining OKRs for catalogue quality and personalisation

Required qualifications:

• 6+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in building production ML systems
• 2+ years as an Engineering Manager or ML Team Lead in e-commerce, marketplace, or fintech
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based products and large-scale data and ML pipelines
• Strong backend fundamentals, proficient in reviewing Go and Python services
• Solid understanding of ML evaluation metrics and product sense related to catalogue quality and conversion
