Engineering Manager, Music

Job Summary

Managing a team of 7-8 engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Manager, Music will oversee the development of RightsDB, a foundational database for copyright and rightsholder ownership data, while fostering a positive team culture and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the development of RightsDB, ensuring timely feature delivery and alignment with business needs
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members, promoting a growth-oriented culture
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, roadmap, and priorities

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing software engineering teams in a product-focused environment
• 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including web, backend, or full-stack development
• Familiarity with web technologies, distributed systems, or cloud platforms
• Experience in the music or media rights domain or similar IP-centric industries
• Comfortable managing stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds
