Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager - Observability & Ingest.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and evolve the OTEL ingest pipeline, designing and operating a collector fleet for processing telemetry data
Lead a team of 6-8 engineers, managing goals, performance evaluations, and hands-on coding
Design and build real-time stream processing systems for data normalization and routing

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of production software development experience, including 1+ years in a management role
Proven experience with high-throughput data pipelines and streaming technologies
Experience with OpenTelemetry at scale, including collector pipelines and custom schemas
Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, Java, Python, or Scala
Experience with running data workloads on major cloud providers and using Infrastructure as Code tools
