Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager - Payments will oversee the integration surface, manage merchant-facing APIs, and engage in customer interactions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and grow the Merchants & Integrations engineering team, focusing on hiring and performance development
- Ensure the reliability and quality of merchant-facing APIs and platform integrations, while owning the integration roadmap
- Participate in customer-facing discussions to translate merchant needs into technical solutions and represent engineering during sales and integration calls
Required qualifications
- Experience managing a software engineering team with a background as a senior IC or tech lead in payments or integrations
- Strong technical expertise in backend systems, APIs, and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with payment gateways and e-commerce integration
- Ability to engage in technical conversations with customers and represent engineering effectively
- Judgment to balance speed, reliability, and compliance in payment processes
