Engineering Manager (PHP)

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager (PHP) to lead a small team while contributing as a senior developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of engineering squads to ensure timely delivery aligned with business priorities
• Contribute production code and guide system architecture while ensuring engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product and design leaders to define scope, roadmap, and feature prioritization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of software development experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or engineering management role
• Strong coding skills in PHP (Symfony/Laravel), MySQL/Postgres, React/Next.js, TypeScript
• Strong understanding of full-stack development, CI/CD practices, and cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred)
• Bonus: Experience in hospitality, travel, eCommerce, or platform-based SaaS environments
