Job Summary
Leading a dynamic development team, the full-time remote Engineering Manager - SOC 2 Certified will balance hands-on coding and team leadership while building the necessary process and compliance foundation as the AI-powered safety intelligence platform, Scout, scales toward SOC 2 and ISO certifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the development team, engaging in hands-on coding and code reviews
- Own engineering process maturity, including sprint planning, code review standards, and documentation
- Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to establish compliance workflows for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness
Required qualifications:
- Meaningful experience as an Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, or hands-on Team Lead/Tech Lead
- Direct experience leading a team through SOC 2, SOC 1, or ISO 27001 readiness or certification
- Strong backend or full-stack background (TypeScript, JavaScript, Node, React) with hands-on coding ability
- Experience in a lean, fast-moving startup environment, building processes from scratch
- Agentic AI or LLM engineering experience is a plus
