Engineering Manager Streaming

Job Summary

Leading the Streaming Platform team, the full-time Engineering Manager, Streaming will drive the technical vision and infrastructure evolution for event ingestion, processing, and delivery, while fostering a high-performing engineering culture in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the technical roadmap for the streaming platform, ensuring alignment with company goals
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, balancing technical involvement with leadership responsibilities
• Enhance the developer experience by improving tooling and enabling self-service capabilities for product and data teams

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in engineering management or technical leadership roles
• Strong background in distributed systems and event streaming technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, or Flink
• Proven experience leading complex platform initiatives across multiple teams
• Solid backend engineering skills, preferably in Java/Spring Boot
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) and observability practices in distributed systems
