Engineering Manager, Technical Operations

Job Summary

To support the Department of Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization program, the fully remote Engineering Manager, Technical Operations will manage the technical analysis, oversight, and operational health of systems engineering while ensuring end-to-end visibility into user devices and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Technical Operations function, utilizing monitoring tools to identify and resolve end user device and system issues
• Guide troubleshooting efforts across teams to enhance the end user experience and address complex technical challenges
• Provide oversight for all systems engineering aspects of the EHRM transition to a COTS product line, including requirements development and change management

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience, including 3+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role
• Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and endpoint management tools such as Splunk, 1E Tachyon, or LightsOn
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams across Integration, Cyber, Infrastructure, and Architecture
• Track record of operating Technical Operations or systems engineering functions on complex enterprise IT programs
