Engineering Manager, Telematics Technology

Job Summary

To lead the Telematics Technology domain, the full-time remote Engineering Manager II will manage engineering teams responsible for deploying and operating production systems that transform driving data into risk signals, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps and ensure organizational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define long-term vision and quarterly roadmaps for the Telematics Platform and Experience focus areas
• Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous growth
• Guide the architectural direction for telematics systems, ensuring reliability and scalability while driving efficiency in development processes

Required qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in technical leadership or engineering management
• Demonstrated ability to translate product and data strategy into actionable engineering plans
• Strong technical judgment in building and scaling distributed data pipelines
• Command of modern cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Terraform, serverless architecture)
• Track record of developing engineers and fostering inclusive, high-ownership cultures
